LeapFrog Tag Books for $7.99 [Or Free?]

Please see the UPDATE to the Leapfrog book deals below…..I must tell you that I bought my 6 yr old the Tag Reader last year for Christmas along with a ton of books to go with it, and she loved it.  I am looking to buy the Tag Jr for our 2 yr old this year and have already stocked up on a lot of books for her, too.  My price point for the books is to not pay more than $5 for each one, and sometimes you can get them cheaper, such as the deal outlined below.  Thanks, Baby Cheapskate!

LeapFrog Tag books are on sale at LeapFrog.com for $9.99. Take an extra 20% off site wide through 11/23 with code LFFAMILY. That brings them down to $7.99 each. Spend $50 and get free shipping. It's a good deal, but don't jump on it yet. Here's why:

According to advance ad scans (thanks, Slick Deals!), Tag books will be buy-one-get-one free this Sunday, 11/21, at Target (in-store). You can print two $5 coupons if you watch the video here and enter the sweepstakes. Try to use them both. If they'll let you (it depends on the individual store's policy), the books will be free. If not, it'll be like getting them for $2.50 (they'll be two for $9.99). The nice thing is that if the pickings at Target are slim, the LeapFrog sale will still be on. Thanks to reader Julie for the tip.

Oh, and if you're wondering what else is in the Target ad scan, I'll post highlights in the a.m.

Thanks for reading BabyCheapskate.com!
