Coupon Katarina is one of my new favorite blogs! I just recently stumbled upon her blog and so far she has posted many useful deals. Please check out her blog when you get a chance. For now, here is her post on a ton of printable coupons for retail stores like JC Penney’s, Bath and Body Works, Kohl’s, and more!
Children’s Place is a great place to buy cute kids clothes. At the end of every season I stock up at their sales when their clothes are marked 50-75% off. I’m usually armed with a coupon worth 15-20% off my entire purchase, too. If you shop here, take advantage of this deal and increase your savings! This deal is good in stores or online thru 12/24.
Amazon Mom is a new membership program Amazon has started – it’s a great way to get cheap diapers, wipes, and other baby items. I had previously found that buying these items online usually wasn’t the best deal you can find, since you can go to any store’s sale armed with coupons and buy them cheaper. However, Amazon Mom has thrown out some incentives to warm us up to the idea of buying these items online.
First, you purchase items with the “Subscribe & Save” option which gives you 15% off. Subscribe & Save is a subscription where you tell Amazon what you want to order and how often you need it, then it will automatically ship your items to you every 1, 2, even 6 months. However, if you don’t want to subscribe, simply manage your subscriptions after your order is shipped and cancel that subscription. You still receive the 15% off on the order you placed. Next, when you join Amazon Mom you will get an additional 15% off certain items, making your total savings 30%!
Now here is what sweetens the deal – if you are a subscriber or regularly purchase Parents or Parenting magazines, there have been coupons inserted in those magazines for an additional 20% off diapers at Amazon! These have appeared in each issue for the last few months. I have been buying cases of diapers through Amazon for a while now, and I can’t beat the deals anywhere else. My most recent diaper purchase came out to spending 10.6 cents per diaper. That is a great stock-up price! I think my Sam’s Club’s price was 17-18 cents a diaper.
And guess what – Amazon even has online coupons you can use! Sometimes you have refresh the page until you find the coupons you want. There is usually a Pampers coupon listed, which takes another dollar off your diaper purchase.
So, round up your magazines and save those coupon codes. If you have them and don’t plan to use them, please share with someone who needs them. I would be very happy to take them off your hands to use and share, too. Let me know if you join and what deals you have found!
Thanks to Deal Seeking Mom for this post on another cheap magazine subscription:

Please see the UPDATE to the Leapfrog book deals below…..I must tell you that I bought my 6 yr old the Tag Reader last year for Christmas along with a ton of books to go with it, and she loved it. I am looking to buy the Tag Jr for our 2 yr old this year and have already stocked up on a lot of books for her, too. My price point for the books is to not pay more than $5 for each one, and sometimes you can get them cheaper, such as the deal outlined below. Thanks, Baby Cheapskate!
According to advance ad scans (thanks, Slick Deals!), Tag books will be buy-one-get-one free this Sunday, 11/21, at Target (in-store). You can print two $5 coupons if you watch the video here and enter the sweepstakes. Try to use them both. If they'll let you (it depends on the individual store's policy), the books will be free. If not, it'll be like getting them for $2.50 (they'll be two for $9.99). The nice thing is that if the pickings at Target are slim, the LeapFrog sale will still be on. Thanks to reader Julie for the tip. Oh, and if you're wondering what else is in the Target ad scan, I'll post highlights in the a.m. Thanks for reading BabyCheapskate.com! |
Now through 11/23/2010 you can get 20% off at LeapFrog.com! Just use code LFFAMILY during the online checkout. (Thanks, Savings Lifestyle!) |

To find out if you've won, log in during the 24-hour period and check your account for the Cinderella coupon. If you have ever used Amazon's Prime shipping option, you probably fell in love with it like I did when I had a free trial. It is a 2-day shipping option on any order from Amazon – no minimum. The catch is that you have to pay $79 each year to subscribe to it. I'm not sure it's worth $79 per year when I mainly use it only at Christmas time. There is a new site I recently heard about and wanted to share – ShopRunner. It has the same concept, same price, but includes a lot of popular stores, not just one. I think ShopRunner sounds interesting, and I might sign up for the 30 days trial to use this holiday season. If it's a success, I'll post my thoughts on it. If you decide to use it, please let me know your thoughts, too! (Thanks, Baby Cheapskate!)
Anyone else trying it? What do you think? Thanks for reading BabyCheapskate.com! |
Watch a virtual test drive, then print a $5 coupon good for Leapfrog books. Remember to hit your “back” button after printing so you can print a second coupon!

This is one of those deals that unless you're in the need for one right now, it doesn't seem like such a great deal. I have heard about how popular buying your glasses online is becoming. I have been needing a new pair of reading/driving glasses for a while but just couldn't bring myself to pay the money for a new pair. By the time you pick out a frame, lenses, coatings – it becomes very expensive! So when I saw this deal on Deal Seeking Mom's blog, I decided to check it out. I ended up ordering a pretty pair of glasses with all the coatings, good lenses, etc. for $27! Act quickly – you must "like" them on Facebook to get the code. See the post from Deal Seeking Mom below: If you missed the first time around, Coastal Contacts will be giving away another 10,000 pairs of free glasses to their Facebook fans. You'll still have to pay shipping and handling, which looks like it's $10-$15 per pair, but if you need new glasses, this is still a great deal! Be sure to read all of the terms and conditions. |
I am always in search of the best deal on Christmas gifts! If you have a specific item you are searching for this year, comment on this post and I will post the deals as I find them on those items. By commenting here, we can share information for others to benefit from, too.
